June 4, 2010 – CTC Consulting, a national investment consulting firm with headquarters in Portland, Oregon, has added a senior consultant in its Boston, office. Bill Monaghan, CAIA, joined CTC June 1.

"We are excited about Bill joining CTC" said Karen Harding, Director of Consulting at CTC. “Bill’s financial, investment and family office expertise will help us to better serve our clients in the northeast and to expand our presence in that region of the country.”

Bill is responsible for the development and implementation of long-term investment policies, analysis of client portfolios, recommendations of appropriate portfolio allocations, the evaluation and selection of investment managers, and the ongoing monitoring of client portfolios.

Most recently, Monaghan was Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Pinyon Peak Capital Management LLC, an actively managed diversified fund of hedge funds. Prior to Pinyon Peak, he served as Chief Investment Officer for Fernwood Advisors, an investment management firm based in Boston. Prior to Fernwood, he spent time with Whitney & Co., as a partner and co-founder of Private Capital Partners, LLC and with Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette in their private client division. A Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Monaghan holds a B.A. in Economics from Trinity College and a Master of Management degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
