J.B. Hayes is director of private markets research and a partner at CTC Consulting. Mr. Hayes joined CTC in 2001. Mr. Hayes’ responsibilities include sourcing, due diligence and monitoring of new and existing private markets managers. He has developed many of CTC’s private markets research processes and procedures, as well as being responsible for developing detailed implementation plans for CTC’s clients. As director of private markets research, Mr. Hayes works with Rod Larson to oversee CTC’s research and recommendations of private markets managers and works with consultants to implement these investments in clients’ portfolios. Prior to joining CTC, Mr. Hayes worked at Merrill Lynch where he focused on asset allocation and performance reporting for clients.

Mr. Hayes and his wife live in the Portland area. He enjoys sports and outdoor activities.

Mr. Hayes is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Society of Portland.  He received a BS in business with a focus on finance from the University of Oregon.
